Reflection on the nature of music based on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, by the Belgian composer Willem Pelemans (1901-1991): "De moderne toonkunst houdt geen rekenschap meer met inspiratie, gemoed of gevoel. Alles wordt gemeten en gewogen."

¶ With striking Cubist cover design by the Flemish painter Felix De Boeck (1898-1995). The lettering is reminiscent of the typography of Joost Swarte. Rare item, not present in the public collections.
