¶ In the 1960s, the Belgian former resistance fighter Ludo Vaneck wrote Nazi pulp, pornography, and erotica under various pseudonyms, of which Jo Durand, modeled on James Bond, was the most successful. The circulation was enormous, but the books were often discarded "after use."
