Reprint of Geographiae, quae est cosmographiae Blavianae [etc.] from 1665. All maps per country/region in COLOUR with additional information in three languages (English, Dutch and French). With the foreword by Joan Blaeu, table of length measures and index on the maps.
¶ The Atlas Maior by the great Dutch cartographer Dr. Jan (Joan) Willemsz. Blaeu (ca. 1598–1673), containing six hundred maps, was one of the most expensive cartographic publications of the 17th century. This Taschen reprint was previously published in 2005 (deluxe cloth binding). This 25th Anniversary edition was also produced under the supervision of Benedikt Taschen himself. Large-format COFFEE TABLE BOOK.
