Dutch translation of L'image (1956); a sadomasochistic novel, written under a pseudonym by the French dominatrix Catherine Robbe-Grillet (1930-). The book was dedicated to Pauline Réage and made into a film in 1975 as 'The Image' (also known as 'The Punishment of Anne') directed by Radley Metzger. Cf. Verzameld Werk Catalogus 7 (1988) ErR 101.
¶ With suggestive cover by Karel Beunis and J. Cursto [= Jaap Jungcurt]; the cut-and-paste work appears to show naked bodies, but is in fact very chaste. Between 1969 and 1972 at least 8 titles appeared in the unnamed 'Erotische Reeks'.
