[Japanese print] - 力藝を著して韓錦酷く苛三隈八を懲して [With powerful skill, Han Jin severely punished Mikuhachi] - [N.p.] - [No publ.] - [c. 1900/1930] - Woodcut on paper, framed behind glass - 42 x 35 cm. (= approx. 16.5 x 13.5 inches).

Condition: Good.

An old Japanese print, in fact (probably) consisting of two pages of a picture book, comic strip or graphic novel of some kind from the first half of the 20th century. The size of the visible part of the print is 27 x 19 cm. (approx. 10.5 x 7.5 inches). Framed with passe-partout in copper frame.

¶ We witness a fight scene where a Samurai warrior (Han Jin) has just knocked his opponent Mikuhachi to the ground with a back throw. Two other Samurais, possibly named のりまと [= Norimoto] and もと二錦 [= Motoni Nishiki], draw their swords to join the fight.
