¶ This is Bontebal's official debut, but a self-published booklet titled 'Uitverkocht' was already published in 1972. A motorcycle accident in 1975 cost him one of his legs. Besides the 'poet with the wooden leg', he was also called 'the Carmiggelt of the squatters' movement'.
