Photobook by The Hague street photographer Theo Niekus (1956-2019), with the theme "people in uncomfortable, silly or somewhat strange situations". Illustrated in black and white. Text in English, Spanish and Dutch. Edition: 2000 copies.

With English foreword 'Everyday discomfort' by Arnon Grunberg on p. 5-7; the Dutch and Spanish versions on the inside of the flaps [Cf. Wuijts B17].

¶ In addition to Pasatiempo, Niekus made two other photo books; 'Passanten' (1996) and 'Damrak' (2005). From 2009 onwards he self-published a number of magazines in which he collected his street photos. The NRC called him the 'Meester van het menselijk gehannes' ['Master of human fiddling']. After his sudden passing away, a foundation was established to manage his legacy.
