P.J. Jos Vranken - Muzikale Bloemlezing: Eerste jaargang, Aflevering 1. Premie verkrijgbaar voor de lezers van de Doesburgsche Courant - Doesburg - Uitgever H.G.J. Becking - 1 October 1902 - 1st edition - [16] pp. - Paper wrappers - 27,5 x 35,5 cm.

Condition: Good - with wear, the edges slightly torn.

The first issue of this music magazine contains five pieces of music notation for piano: 1. Carl Bohm, Addio a Napoli; 2. Hans A. Cesek, Petites Roses; 3. Frédéric Pinoel, Légère Abeille; 4. G. Bachmann, Romance appassionata; 5. P. Tschaikowsky, Chant sans paroles. Sale price was 60 cents per quarter.

On the cover a print of a woman playing the piano and singing company. The lettering is Art Nouveau. On the back advertising for pianos and violins by M.J.H. Kessels from Tilburg.

¶ This Doesburg variant not in NCC. There are six other versions (such as those of the Deventer Dagblad, De Zaanlander and the Haarlems Dagblad). The magazine was launched nationally, but it seems that the initiative was not continued after a second issue.
