¶ The first printing of Wiener's debut was withdrawn from the market on August 28, 1967. Mister C.J. Limmen, owner of the restaurant-pavilion 'De Uitzichttoren' in Zandvoort, thought he recognized himself in the story 'Jansen' in a compromising situation with one of his waitresses. In later printings, the character's name was changed to Wiener's own. Cf. Hazeu p. 48.
