Second collection of 15 fairy tales, some of which have also been published separately. Illustrated with black and white drawings by Herman Moerkerk (1879-1949), who also designed the pictorial book binding. NCC also sees him as an author. Hardcover edition.
Contains i.a. 'Waf! Waf! de betooverde hond'; 'Hoe Hans Deugniet een brave jongen werd'; 'Sneeuwwitje is vertrokken'; 'Ons Winterkoninkje'; 'Het geheim der Nymphen', 'Van een hoovaardig kikkertje'; 'De Blauwe Roos' and 'Tante Ursula en haar poesje'.
¶ This copy was, according to a dedication, given as a Sinterklaas gift on '5 December 1923' to 'Noortje', who, as can be seen on a beautiful Art Deco ex-libris on the paste-down, had 'Van der Plas' as a surname. During the last century, the book was also owned for some time by a certain Daniëls-Bessem, who immortalized that fact with a stamp on the title page.
