¶ The book deals with i.a. squids, snails, shellfish, naiads, oysters, tunicates, mussels, worms (shipworms, annelids), sea mice, sea caterpillars, lugworms, earthworms, sea urchins, leeches, sea arrows, rotifers, polyps, flatworms, tapeworms, sea cucumbers, sea apples, starfish and jellyfish.

This copy was bound by master binder Hans Zegveld in the spirit of the 19th century in a newly constructed binding; black linen spine with 'WEEKDIEREN' [= Molluscs] in gold foil and boards covered with marbled paper.
