Catalogue of an exhibition with the work of the American sculptor and installation artist Paul Thek (1933-1988). Illustrated with black and white photos (by Franz Deckwitz, John D. Schiff and Edwin Klein). Text in Dutch and English. Cf. Wolters #1161; Huygen p. 229.

Thek was born with the first names George Joseph, but started calling himself 'Paul' from 1955. He was the lover of the photographer Peter Hujar for some time and remained friends with Susan Sontag until his untimely death from AIDS. Posthumously his work has been widely exhibited in the United States and Europe. His work is held in numerous collections, including the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris.

¶ A white insert printed in black and red was included separately. Unfolded like (what Dutch antiquarians call) a 'leporello', Catalog no. 460 has a size of 82 x 27.5 cm. It is one of the more difficult to find publications of the Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum.
